Sigma and Star For Life at Dlilanga Technical High School

The excitement was tangible among the learners, teachers and parents at Dlilanga Technical High School on Friday, 14 March as Sigma the Swedish IT and Management Company was introduced as the new dedicated sponsor of the Star For Life programme at the school.

Addressing the learners, Sigma Communications Manager, Anna Hallberg said they would like to establish a relationship with learners and teachers beyond Star For Life sponsorship. “We are the sponsor of the Star For Life programme at the school but we would also like to have a relationship with learners and see how we can help them towards their studies, “said Anna. She also pledged to help the school with the establishment of the computer laboratory at the school.

The Star For Life Executive Director, Dr Per Strand urged learners to keep excelling and working hard towards achieving their dreams. “Star For Life is here to help you through your journey to success, the fact that we now have Sigma in this journey, is going to make this journey to be much easier because they’ll help in different ways,” said Dr Strand.

The school principal Mr M.C Mbele said that they were thrilled to welcome Sigma to the school and that they were looking forward to the prosperous partnership with both Star For Life and Sigma.

The audience at the event were entertained by a performance by the school’s award winning choir. The theatre group also performed a very moving and educational play raising awareness against rhino poaching.
