Star For Life Partner Schools camp.

Star For Life Partner Schools project in Namibia hosted a three day camp for schools around Windhoek,Okahandja & Rehoboth. The camp started on Friday the 2nd to Sunday the 4th of November at the Youth with Mission Base in Brakwater. About 27 learners from several schools attended the camp.

The aim of the three day camp was to boost learners self esteem as well as to increase their team work skills.  Two friends of the partners’ schools project from Malmo Borga skolar in Sweden, Carl Olseen and Hamdi Ahmed participated in the planning and organising the event.  The camp organiser, Miss Emilia Nambahu says, “This camp was a great platform for learners to engage with other learners from other parts of the world as well as to learn different cultures and we intend to make it an annual event”.


Learners were exposed to variety of activities such as team building skills and information sharing on themes such such as teenage pregnancy and HIV and Aids.


“The camp has made me realise that I can achieve my goals if I dedicate myself and focus on my studies, I was very touched by Coach Susan and Evelina’s stories, they have made me reaise that if you put your mind into whatever you want to achieve you can make it”, said Hambeleleni Nataneel from Okahandja High School.
