School Project
We are poised to increase and make more effective the outreach of our empowerment programmes by working with schools where we know young people of the target age congregate in larger numbers and scale. By and large this programme focuses on the following aspects
  • Providing psychosocial support (PSS) to learners, educators, and the community. We are supported by the SADC framework on minimum package of services and PSS which places great emphasis on the mainstreaming of Psychosocial Support in all structures that provide services to children and young people.
  • Focusing on clear health goals – the prevention of HIV and AIDS.
  • Focusing narrolwy on specific behaviours leading to these healthj goals (e.g. abstaining from sex or suing condoms and other contraceptives).
  • Addresssing multiple psychosocial risks and protective factors affecting sexual behaviours (e.g. knowledge, perceived risks, valuers, attitudes, perceived norms and self efficacy).
