Here we would like to increase the understanding and acceptance of use sports as a tool for the advancement of children’s and young people’s social development outcomes (Including the enhancement of self-esteem and the general well being of children). We believe that to derive maximum benefit, sports should be introduced to children while they are still relatively young. Experience has shown that children in this stage group are the ones that play sport, quite often without the appropriate sports equipment or sports gear.
This will assist in children’s emotional development including the ability to make life – affirming decisions, relying on their increased self-esteem. As we provide initiatives for children to have an opportunity for group interaction, there is a definite effect from the peer to peer dimension on children to learn of other positive behavioral aspects, as well as awareness of HIV and AIDS.
